Rest in Peace, Tuxie

Black-and-white cat resting on carpet near a fuzzy pillow.

On June 15th, Bella Bear's Senior Pet Sanctuary -Joshua Tree (BBSPS-JT) was contacted by Cynthia, whose sweet senior kitty Tuxie had stopped eating and drinking days before. Due to her own medical issues, lack of transportation, and financial distress she was unable to get him the care he needed.

We jumped into action the same day, scooped both Cynthia and Tuxie up and brought them to VCA urgent care where a panel of tests were done and medications prescribed. Unfortunately, two days later, Cynthia called me saying that Tuxie still was not eating or drinking and she did not think he would make it. By the time we got to VCA urgent care he was gone.

BBSPS-JT has paid all vet bills and cremation expenses. $842

This is the kind of work that we do. I just wish Cynthia had learned of us a few days earlier. If she had this may have resulted in a very different outcome. Rest in peace, Tuxie.
